Cart Curator #61 - In Collaboration with Mia Zotos
Celebrating the launch of Mode Mischief's ‘SARTORIALE’ collection, founder Mia shares her recent purchases and what's on her wishlist (including a vintage handbag priced at over $28K).
Hi CC friends,
This week we are joined by the Founder and Creative Director of Mode Mischief Studios, Mia Zotos.
Mode Mischief is a favourite of CC, and we had the pleasure of attending their SATORIALE Collection Preview at Fashion Week last month, where we met the very stylish woman behind the brand - Mia.
When we asked Mia to describe herself, she said “Hey! While my background is in science, my true passion has always been design and fashion—it's something that feels innate to me! When I'm not immersed in designing and managing the delightful chaos of running a fashion label, I love to explore and study fashion trends, both online and in person. Shopping and observing the ever-evolving world of fashion is where I find my inspiration and joy.”
If Mia isn’t already your fashion inspiration, we guarantee she will be after this issue. Her IG alone, inspired by her love for the 90s (which you can see in the Mode Mischief pieces), is filled with outfit inspiration.
We’re soooo excited to have Mia join us as our next collaborator - as we continue to venture into other categories of talent.
We’ll be back next week.
Enjoy,

Bottega Veneta Andiamo Bag in Small
I recently made quite a bank-breaking purchase I had saved up for, for over a year – the Bottega Veneta Small Andiamo bag.
Being quite a hefty investment, I rationalised and questioned my need for this bag in my wardrobe, but I have never fallen out of love with it, ever since I first laid my eyes on the piece.
Sometimes it is nice to treat yourself and properly feel the achievement of saving up to buy something! It also helped me rationalise the purchase as it is such a great and versatile everyday bag, with so many ways you can style it.
You can see on my IG alone just how much wear I’ve gotten out of it.
One item that is very high on my wish list right now is the Paloma Wool Volga skirt, whic is in this incredible silver knit fabrication.
Despite being such a fun piece, I think it would become a staple I’d re-wear over and over and could easily style with the items in my wardrobe.
It gives off quite a unique, yet classy, vibe and would be the perfect skirt for a summer vacation.
CC note - how good would this look styled with a Mode Mischief tee, like the Fig Tee?
Beauty Counter
Prod of the week.
Clinique Black Honey Almost Lipstick
I am a ride-or-die fan of Clinique’s ‘Black Honey’ range, specifically their iconic ‘Almost Lipstick’.
I’m so inspired by the 90s, both the fashion and beauty of the time, and this is the perfect lip shade that makes me feel like I’m in the era. It adds that little bit of extra somethinh to my makeup look, without looking overdone.
I’ve also noticed they just released a mascara and lip oil in the Black Honey shade which are both high on my wishlist right now.
CC note - the mascara and lip oil are seemingly not available (yet!) in Australia.

One to Try
Recent openings and discoveries.
Wally’s is a European-inspired wine bar that recently opened in Melbourne’s Albert Park. I've been wanting to try this spot for the longest time but have never been able to grab a table - it’s popular!
This specific wine bar really appeals to me because of its French and Italian-inspired cuisine, curated wine list, and the stunning architecture of the space designed by AMI Studio. The great atmosphere is the cherry on top, making it a must-visit (if I can get in!).
CC note - We’ve featured Wally’s in One To Try before, so this is a certified rec!
Lottery Win
A girl can dream.
Fendi Baguette by Victor Vasarely, found on Vestiaire
I recently came across this incredible and extremely unique vintage Fendi Baguette by Victor Vasarely, listed on Vestiaire Collective. This super rare collector's piece is priced at a whopping $23,500 AUD— making it definitely a lottery win dream.
I have a deep admiration for vintage Fendi baguettes and often find myself flipping through my Baguette coffee table book, dreaming of the day I can start to build my own collection. This particular piece is a true masterpiece that I would (unrealistically) love to own someday.
Consumables
What we can’t stop binging.
I'm currently rewatching all the seasons of "Sex and the City." This is one show I can't get enough of; it never gets old. Each time I watch, I find new things to learn or relate to in my current life, and the fashion is, of course, iconic.
My love for the 90s also plays a big part in this obsession. Watching the show makes me feel like I'm living in that era, and I am nostalgic for the simplicity of life and dating back then, especially compared to the complexities introduced by social media today.
IYKYK
Super specific recs and niche hyper-fixations.
One niche recommendation I absolutely can't live without is the app Whering. It's an incredibly underrated tool that has revolutionised how I approach traveling, packing and styling daily outfits.
Whering allows you to upload pictures of your clothing laid flat, and then it categorises your wardrobe by season, colour, and style. This app has made my life so much easier by helping me visualise my entire wardrobe and create outfits effortlessly.
When I'm preparing for a trip, I use the app to create collections of pieces I'll pack, and it generates different outfit combinations. This way, I can see which items are the most versatile and get some great outfit inspiration while I'm on the go. It's like having a personal stylist in your pocket, making packing effecient and stylish!
A big thank you to Mia and Mode Mischief Studios for joining us this week at CC. Make sure to check out their latest collection, SATORIALE - a take on 90s corporate, with a twist.
