Cart Curator #54 - Call Her Married
A founding father's fashion-led affair, the viral Challengers t-shirt and trivia for the cool girl.
Hi CC friends,
This week Nic enjoyed a lush four day weekend, and re-fell in love with the thrill of selling stuff on Facebook marketplace (I’m always obsessed with a closet cleanout).
Jess on the other hand is in the process of packing up her apartment so is suffering from exhaustion and major decision fatigue - that three day weekend couldn’t come soon enough!
Enjoy,
You Asked For It
If you’re like us you have without a doubt seen the many DIY charm necklace stores dotted throughout Europe and New York but this week’s asker wants to know how we can get the look in AUS. Isn’t that always the question?
Starting with something a bit more experiential and very similar to the stores internationally that will let you pick your charms and then create your necklace for you. Sinki Design is based in Newtown (Sydney) and has a heap of fun earrings, necklaces and accessories but also offers customisable charm necklaces in their store on King St which is so fun and would make for a really cute activity to do with a friend. You can see a heap of the charms available on their Instagram below.
Next up we have an AUS favourite, By Charlotte, which has recently expanded its charm offering. Although this isn’t the TikTok look these charm bracelets and necklaces are a really beautiful and high quality option to add to your forever collection whilst still having that customisable and personalised element. Now this option will set you back a bit more than the more costume jewellery styles but these designs are timeless and less trend-led led so they are perfect for adding to your forever jewellery collection.
Lastly, we wanted to include a couple of ready-made styles that are a bit more cost-effective and allow you to get the look of the chunkier customisable style. The Iconic has quite a few of these styles at the moment and as we know The Iconic loves a sale with options like this Women's Charm Necklace from Nialaya Jewellery and Como Charms Gold Necklace from Wanderlust + Co included in their current offer.
Additionally, Bec + Bridge has the Aquata Charm Necklace which is a really fun silver option and is a bit more wearable given its lack of colour while still being fun and bold.
Popshop
Our favourite pop culture or industry moment of the week.
Last week everyone’s favourite podcast host and founding father, Alex Cooper married her partner, co-founder, and co-CEO Matt Kaplan in what can only be described as the most dreamy and super chic nuptials held in Mexico.
For someone who lives her life so publicly and has always had 0 shame in giving the public all the dirty details of her life and partying days her wedding felt super personal and private vs some of the other more influencer-leaning weddings we have seen (cc Mikalya Nogueria) with even her two dogs attending the event.
For those who didn’t have the wedding all over their FYP the wedding weekend involved multiple days of events kicking off with a solo and v low-key start for the couple and their dogs. They essentially just lapped up the Mexico vibes waiting for guests to arrive with the real Alex Cooper style partying kicking off the next day with welcome drinks in a ‘speak-easy esque’ bar which for me conflicts with the Mexico setting (?? just me) but I will let her have it given this incredible Danielle Frankel baroque pearl outfit - I’m actually speechless.
Fast forward through a girl’s beach day, a relaxed ‘backyard hang with s’mores’ where she wore a v chic Donna Karan and the morning of the wedding when Alex donned Victoria Beckham (you can see a more detailed outfit summary below), and we finally reach the wedding itself.
This drop waist gown for the ceremony was so perfect for her and she just looks polished and glowing without being overdone and looking like someone completely different.
I also love the way she walked down the aisle - facing her guests vs coming from behind which was actually just due to her venue layout but so cute for all involved being able to get the look on the face of the bride, groom and guests at once. You can see a bit more about this below.
And you know what they say - it’s obviously not an influencer wedding without a paid partnership! Before you say anything there is absolutely no judgement here - if Jimmy Choo wanted to pay me to wear their shoes and post sponsored content around the wedding god knows I would.
Keep scrolling for some other wedding moments you may have missed including her bridal Skims shoot.

Hansen & Gretel Kit Jersey Tank
My love for this Jersey Tank has come from the one that got away and that one was a Christopher Esber dress with a very similar neckline and draping. Given it was suitable for a black tie affair the cost per wear just didn’t add up for me so as soon as I found this tank it had my name all over it.
This mustard/yellow tone is really fun for me as someone who rarely dabbles in colour and I think a nice one for pairing with a millennial jeans and a nice top for a night out, drinks or dinner.
Source Unknown Nangy Double Breasted Cinched Blazer
I have absolutely nowhere to wear this but I feel it’s my duty to share this stunning tan blazer from Source Unknown. Now like any good thing, this style is currently on pre-order and should I be someone who works in a more corporate environment I would definitely be checking out.
The shape and cut are so unique with the wider sleeves, cinched waste and wider collar making for a striking but wearable silhouette perfect for matching with jeans or trouser.
Nicole
Our first Bunnings recommendation! Ok, this technically comes at the recommendation of friend of CC Sophie who purchased one of these to keep her engagement ring schmick. As soon as I heard she had bought one of these Ultrasonic Jewellery cleaners I knew I HAD to try it.
Look, do I understand technically how this little machine works? No. But does it? SO INCREDIBLY WELL. I placed my engagement ring (which hasn’t ever been cleaned it its several month life) in with a little bit of detergent, and after a few minutes it was back to being blindingly sparkly and shine-y. I never take my ring off, so I didn’t realise how grimy it had gotten from what I assume is ocean swims daily and heavily applying skincare. It also cleans jewellery and watches, but if you do have any diamond or gem rings, I would highly suggest investing in this, to avoid paying for cleaning or even the hassle of dropping it off and picking it up from a jeweller.
Princess Polly Joice Stockings
Lace is quickly emerging as a trend this season, but is also unfortunately not the most weather appropriate fabrication for us in the Southern Hemisphere.
I’ve been trying to find ways to incorporate this into my wardrobe easily, as I just don’t think I will get the cost per wear of some of the super sheer options like pants, skirts or dresses.
Then I came across stockings from Princess Polly, and at only $25, these are such an interesting way to wear lace, particularly as the weather cools here in Aus. Style with an oversized blazer, mini shorts and pumps.

Kiss Tapered End Trio Lash 1 kit
I’ll be the first to say that I have never been good at applying lashes. Strip, single, pre-glued lashes - I hate them all. This past weekend I went out for a bit of a girls night and while strolling the aisles of Priceline I thought these looked pretty manageable as the times I have been able to get lashes to stay adhered they had been a strip lash cut into pieces, which these pretty much are.
After my experience with these lashes I feel like I want to wear a lash to everything - I won’t, but I could if I wanted to - they were just that comfortable and looked so natural. I placed x2 of the mediums to the outer corner of each eye for a bit of extra volume/cat eye look and could not have been more in love with the result!

Glow Recipe Watermelon Niacinamide Tinted Dew Drops
Off the back of the viral D-Bronzi drops, it feels like every brand has been releasing a “bronzing” tint style product, and fair to say I’ve tried quite a few. Whilst the Glow Recipe ones are on the pricier side, only a few dollars off the Drunk Elephant ones, their formulation reigns supreme IMO. It actually feels and absorbs like a serum, leaving skin feeling soft and the tint has a warm pearlescent sheen to it, which I actually prefer over just a plain bronze, which can sometimes look muddy. A little also goes a loooooong way, so I think the cost is justified here.
One to Try
Recent openings and discoveries.
Busby’s, a natural wine bar attached to Paddington’s Oxford House is not a super new opening, but recent enough to warrant an inclusion in One to Try, especially when we saw this coffee creme caramel on our feeds (yes, a good dessert is enough to sell us in).
Oxford House previously had a cafe in this street facing part of the hotel, but have since renovated it into a fun, vibey hi-fi bar. This is super close to CC fave El Primo Sanchez, and is a good option to kick off your evening in the area.
Lottery Win
A girl can dream.
This could also be an IYKYK, but if you’ve seen the Challengers movie you know exactly why I (Nic) am desperate to get my hands on this shirt. Look, $475 for a cotton t-shirt is a little bit silly (ok, very silly) but after seeing Zendaya and Josh O’Connor wearing this throughout the film, I just feel like it's an essential.
There is history behind this shirt, see the TikTok below, but trust Loewe’s Jonathon Anderson to turn something into a phenomenon.
Completely unrelated, but what did everyone think of the movie? The first thing I did what I walked out was Google “Challengers Ending Explained” which says so much about me.
Consumables
What we can’t stop binging.
Move over Connections and definitely move over Wordle, Strands is my (Nic) latest daily puzzle obsession. This is a find-a-word based puzzle, where you have to uncover several words within the random letters, using the overarching cryptic theme to do so.
Look, just try it for yourself, it's become a daily obsession.
IYKYK
Super specific recs and niche hyper-fixations.
All the hot girlies are doing The Big Silly Trivia - we don’t make the rules. This US based online trivia is hosted once a week at our time Thursday 11AM (not the most convenient time we know, but hey timezones), and is an invitation only trivia for the girls, by the girls. Topics include fashion, beauty, pop-culture and online happenings - so your hours of being chronically online can actually pay off.
The prize pool is the insane part, with sunglasses from Celine, Heaven Mayhem earrings, Skims, Rhode up for grabs. Sadly, the prizes are only valid if you're US based (sorry to tease), but the trivia itself is worth your time even without the prizes.
