After many un-launched ideas, and (thankfully) unexecuted plans, including drop shipping Christmas socks, we’ve finally decided to get over the hump of cringe mountain (cc our lord and saviour @tinx IYKYK) and finally bring one of our concepts into reality.
Welcome to Cart Curator. A weekly newsletter (dropping 5PM AEST every Wednesday) that will share what’s sitting in our online shopping carts, ask you to justify our recent purchases and share our musings. You may notice we jump between we and I, because, sometimes we merge into one person.
We don’t yet have the glossy header or really much of an idea on how to even create a newsletter, but we hope you enjoy our brain dump.

Our favourite pop culture or industry moment of the week.
Unless you have been living under a rock you would have seen the internet's current fixation on Sofia Richie's wedding to Elliot Grainge (No idea what he’s all about, which meant it felt like a solo Sofia show - big she’s Barbie and he’s just Ken vibe). We also got a necessary dash of OG style-queen Nicole, for those old enough to remember.

The wedding has definitely set the new standard for nepo babies everywhere (condolences to the Peltz Beckhams) with a very down-to-earth debut to TikTok ahead of the nuptials (if that’s possible, it literally felt ridiculous writing that), endless Chanel looks, the star-studded guest list including Cameron Diaz, Paris Hilton and Summer Fridays co-founder Marianna Hewitt, and OFC a private Good Charlotte performance.
The true highlight of this event has been the video shared by @amelialiana of Sofia onstage losing her mind to Lifestyles of the Rich and the Famous, a video that will live rent-free in my head for the next month.

Be prepared to become SICK of us mentioning our upcoming Euro Summer holiday, and all our *necessary* purchases made prior. We’re the type of people to have a shared packing list on our notes app to ensure that our holiday wardrobes are complementary and also to avoid forgetting to pack a specific type of shoe (because you need a beach to bar sandal, a walking sandal, a dinner sandal right?).
Cult Gaia Bellona Crocheted Cotton Halterneck Bikini Top
Our holiday wardrobe theme (yes, we have one) is maximalism, so firstly this Cult Gaia bikini (or what will be a shirt for me) is the epitome of fun Euro summer dressing. I'm envisioning the bikini paired with white linen trousers, a black sandal (e.g. A.Emery Piper) and a gold Bottega-esque earring for a chic lunchtime look.
This was included in Net-A-Porter’s 20% off sale (still live - run, don’t walk).
Second pick is the Dinosaur Designs resin bangles - these have been popping up increasingly on IG recently with new colour variations including cream and milky coffee tones. I’ve loved seeing this styled for winter as part of a monochrome look but also playing into the holiday maximalism theme, I cannot wait to style three of the Cream and Chalk Swirl with a white bikini and chic cover-up.
Weekday Astro Loose Baggy Jeans
These jeans have become a part of my personality at this point and are the perfect rise, shade and length (especially for tall girls, sorry Nicole). Since picking them up I have had multiple people ask where they are from and what the price point is ($70 USD).
They are a ‘mens’ style so you may be struggling to see the vision so check out @selenamual on Tiktok - has created a few pieces of content styling these jeans with sneakers, heels etc. for different occasions and they can honestly do no wrong.

Prod of the week.
After some hesitation due to an interesting experience with the Contour Stick, I recently picked up the Mecca Max Off Duty Blush in Moody after a TikTok recommendation (as usual). With a $19.00 price point I figured I had nothing to lose, and thankfully so. This berry shade gives a perfect sunburnt flush with a luminous, dewy finish that doesn’t move around or disturb base makeup when applied with a brush (I like the Ere Perez Multipurpose Brush). It also looks beautiful pressed lightly into the lips for a just bitten your lips but better shade - this one will definitely be coming to Europe.

Diet Coke. And before you mutter groundbreaking, there have been too many recently traumatic moments where I’ve gone to order or purchase DC and have been informed that Coke Zero is my alternative. No, it’s not the same.
Coke secures Kate Moss as an ambassador, and we do such a disservice by making it LESS available. Explain.
DC is the perfect afternoon treat, usually to cool down post an afternoon menty b at work. If there is anyone else out there that feels this way please let me know as we will personally start a petition.
