Cart Curator #13 - Game, Set, Divorce
All of the off court Wimbledon highlights, an olive oil recommendation and the dress to live out our Andie Anderson fantasy.
Hi CC friends,
We’ve just wrapped our time together in Positano, and Nicole has arrived into Paris, Jess to Rome. We have received quite a few questions on Instagram on places we went, where we ate, stayed etc. and are thinking of dedicating a newsletter to these - let us know if this is something you would like to see and we will compile all our recommendations.
Ok, you’re probably sick of us talking/gloating about our travels and how good our tans are at this point.
Until next week,
Nicole and Jess x
You Asked for It
Whether you’re fighting for your immune system in winter or trying to balance out holiday hedonism, we’ve been asked to share the supplements and vitamins that keep us going no matter what’s in our calendars or happening around us.
NOTE: as always if you have any questions please consult a doctor to see if these are right for you.
This is the one supplement I (Jess) can never be without as someone with a pretty crappy immune system and if you know me personally at this point this product is a personality trait.
Bioceuticals describes this product as “ …a comprehensive vegan formula combining clinically trialled andrographis and immune-supporting nutrients. Andrographis decreases the severity of symptoms of mild upper respiratory tract infections, including sore throat, headache, runny nose, cough, fatigue and restless sleep. Zinc and vitamin C maintain healthy immune system function.”
Not just excellent for hangovers or food poisoning (but yes, extremely helpful for that too) Hydralite is a go-to when you’re feeling dehydrated due to the heat, being on a plane, exercising or with a compromised immune system.
Personally (Nic) a fan of the Pink Lemonade flavour, taken via dissolving a tablet in water, I find this really helps when I need to kick my body back into gear.
As mentioned above, these are particularly great if you’re flying whether that be domestically or internationally because I find new matter what the plane sucks all of the hydration out of your body - combined with the fact that you’ve likely been drinking less water than you normally would to avoid several trips to those bathrooms.
NOTE: This product has been essential for us recently with so much sun exposure, walking and high temps (hello 40+ degree Rome heat)
Alternatively, if you’re after something a little more holistic, I also recently started taking Berocca occasionally in the mornings and quite enjoyed doing so.
Ok, hear me (Nic) out. I always thought that these were reserved for emergency hangover recovery but I started taking this daily to keep my immune system up before a half marathon, and before I went travelling and found that it really helped.
My partner got sick and was knocked out for about a week. Where is when I was taking the Berocca and I called the same bug I was out for about a day and a half, despite the fact that I’m usually the sickly one.
It’s essentially just a dissolvable multivitamin with an excellent cocktail of vitamins and minerals, and there is a caffeine-free version.
Great for muscle recovery sure, but magnesium is secretly one of those all-rounder supplements that works to supper your immune system (key), digestion, energy levels and so on.
While I (Nic) dabble in and out of other supplements, this is the only one that stays in rotation all year round.
Popshop
Our favourite pop culture or industry moment of the week.
Wimbledon has just wrapped for another year and while some of us are salty they didn’t win tickets in the ballot (Jess), we’ve been keeping a keen eye on what’s been going on off the court with the smorgasbord of celebs, style and drama.
Firstly, as it’s hosted in London, the style is evidently more refined and neater than you can expect to see at the other championships.
As with any English event, we were blessed by the Royal family, with Kate Middleton opting for a chic and out of character retro green blazer amongst other outfits (what’s Wimbledon without a few outfit changes).
Perennially cool Sienna Miller reminded us she’s not quite yet ready to hang up her it girl crown in an effortlessly cool striped set.
Now, luckily for us celebrities seemingly find sitting courtside the perfect way to hard launch their new relationship statuses. Whilst we weren’t blessed with insight into Pete Davidson's latest lady, in a turn of events notoriously private Ariana Grande attended sans wedding ring, wedged between her Wicked co-star Jonathan Bailey and CC fave Andrew Garfield.
You knowingly participate in being papped at Wimbledon, so it was obvious that Ariana was ready for the world to know of her recent separation.
The celeb set was a little random, as we were blessed with Brad Pitt (who remains on a PR trail as he works overtime to clean up his post Angelina divorce image), Emma Corrin, Anna Wintour, Liam Payne, Jessie J and Tom Hiddleston to name a few.
You can see some of our favourite moments below.

Dissh Lea Lime Satin Maxi Dress
Am I adding this because it’s giving IYKYK Andie Anderson vibes? Absolutely, but also how could you not love the look of this effortless dress? This is the perfect holiday or wedding guest number and the super fun colour is something that I can definitely get around. This lemon-lime shade is one that we will definitely be seeing more of in the coming months.
As mentioned in a previous newsletter we have a bit of a gin obsession at the moment and Taylor & Smith was recently introduced to me by a colleague. The entire range by the Hobart based distillery looks visually incredible and I would honestly buy any of these products purely based on how they would look styled on my bar cart.

I was served an ad for this on Instagram (if my phone is still listening thank you), and it instantly felt like a kitchen essential. The nozzle top is so smart, perfect for drizzling as a finish or ensuring you don’t overpour from an excessively large bottle you purchased when it was 50% off at Woolies.
The squeezy bottle is actually a newer edition to their already chic range, so if bottled is more your style, there’s an option there too.
There’s something about ticking over the halfway mark in a season that fires up a need to start thinking about the following season’s wardrobe and this minimalistic dress from & Other Stories is a great staple for Spring.
I actually purchased the bandeau version of this in Paris yesterday, but for those playing along in Australia this tank version is equally chic and is available via The Iconic. I love the contrast of the tight top and ballooned bottom half, and feel that with the right paired accessories, this can be easily dressed up or down.
Beauty Counter
Prod of the week.
A precursor here is that we have a strange addiction to international pharmacies and have spent a good chunk of time in these across Italy and France. We’ll pop some of our must-buys for each country in an upcoming newsletter if you’re interested - let us know.

Summer Fridays Lip Butter Balm
I can’t believe I haven’t spoken about this sooner but it is so ingrained in my beauty routine that I somehow overlooked it. The Summer Fridays Lip Butter Balm is hands down the best lip balm I have ever tried - especially if you have a lanolin allergy like I do.
This lip balm has a slight stickiness to it (like any lip balm TBH) that works to coat your lips in the hydrating formula and gives the product staying power - which might sound weird when it comes to a lip balm but I like something that is still on my lips when I wake up in the morning if worn overnight/I don’t need to reapply every 5 minutes throughout my day.
This product will change my lips with a single application and I can honestly never be without it.

Summer or winter, this has become a mainstay in my hair routine. I purchased this with low expectations, having gone through the Moroccan Oil phase years earlier, which only resulted in making my naturally oilier scalp look like someone was ready to crack an egg on it. This oil however is easily absorbed, lightweight and keeps volume in the hair whilst adding shine.
It can be used in a multitude of ways, and my preferences are on wet hair when air drying, on dry styled hair or as a post ocean swim reviver. Yes, it’s expensive but when used correctly you only need a little bit so it lasts for several months.
One to Try
Recent openings and discoveries of the food and beverage kind.
Mona Farm has been top of my list (Nic) for a staycay, and now they’ve announced a new luxury accommodation offering in their ‘Shearer’s Quarters’.
Designed for couples, this lush suite guest house has everything from a heated outdoor spa to a fireplace and views of the stunning Mona Creek, ideal for a cosy winter getaway.
Lottery Win
A girl can dream.
I (Jess) am obsessed with so many things Merci Maison does including this $3,000+ day bed. Do I have anywhere to put this in my apartment - absolutely not, but that won’t stop me from dreaming of this constantly.
IYKYK
Super specific recs and niche hyper-fixations.
Juno & Co Microfibre Velvet Sponge
This is essential in both our makeup bags and at only $10, we urge you to give it a go.
These microfibre sponges have a velvety-like finish to them that apply foundation like a dream. They work faster and more seamlessly than a brush or fingers, and can also be used on cream products (blush, bronzer etc), or to even reapply sunscreen on top of makeup throughout the day (shout out to CC friend Hannah English).
And if you aren’t making your sponges properly damp before you apply we don’t know what to say to you.
